Dear Reader,
I'm pretty confident that at this very moment, you are saying to your self, "Come on! I know who I am. No one knows me like I know me." You may be absolutely correct. Although it has been my experience that when I challenge people who say, "I know who I am", they spit, sigh and stammer, before walking away in frustration. Or, they may try to "bluff" their way through by throwing 'sound good words' at me like, "I'm a divine creation of God." Though this may be true, they are unable to clearly articulate anything about themselves that substantiates their statement. This brings us to the next point.
If, by chance, you were able to bluff your way though the confrontational question, "Who are you, really?", you would then be faced with the challenge of having to back it up. This is were most of my clients have a difficult time when attempting to substantiate who they are. What is it that makes you who you say you are? Talk is cheap and if you don't have what it takes to back up what you say, you often find that everyone, including yourself, is not convinced.
